In the passed few months I heard so many talking that Made In China (MIC) is down and many bad news around me such as worker jump off a building,factory shut down....... It seems that there is a last day of MIC is coming. I am may disappointed you. Yes,it is really some problem here, but it's still your good choice to buy from China. And the benefit of this trend would be continued in the long time of next few years. Following is my opinion.
1. Salary in China is still very low compare with the most developed and developing country. The lowest salary is as low as $1.5/hour for a young factory girl. This price is just a bit higher than Africa Country and most of Asia country.
2. Production rate is raised rapidly in recently years and many factory launch automation machine to replace some job which is done by person. This replacement will help factory to make more benefit in cost and quality. Robot will be a good choice in the near future and there is some factory on the way.
3. Full and fast action Supply Chain is the most big point. In the past 30 years,industrial supply chain is grew together with China's Economic.Your contract manufacturer can find a right supplier around him within 2~3 hours by car. This will help you to finish a new Mold within 2 weeks. This point is most important for Consumer Electronics field, from components,PCBA to finish box building process. See Iphone's success you will understand it. Some of geeks from US, they are living in Shenzhen Huaqianbei electronics market now. And they can buy whatever they want in 1~2 hours and this just need you go downstairs like buy a cup of coke in a store. Small electronic business in Robotronics will find their road here. Good supply chain can shorten time of your new products to Market.
4. Skilled and hard working workers is another point. You can see so many young people working 2 shift a day and live in factory to produce your products. No weekend is not a surprised things here.
Anyhow if you want to design a amazing product, you'd better forget China. You might get a great headache and waist much money and time here.
